Batkave Studios Client Contract 1960 Suite B 54th St. San Diego, CA 92105 Payment: Payment in full is expected at the beginning of the recording session. All mixes, CD-Rs, drives, etc. shall remain the property of Batkave Studios until all invoices are paid in full by the client.. There are also materials costs as described below. We accept cash and money orders only; business or personal checks accepted only under special circumstances. If you prefer payment by check, please notify us in advance. Booking and Cancellation: A nonrefundable deposit of 50% shall be required to confirm all bookings. Deposit will not be returned to client upon cancellation. A session begins at the time the client booked it for, whether they are present or not, and continues until the recording has ceased and clients are preparing to leave. This includes burning CD-Rs, rough mixes etc. Setup Time and Breaks: Setup time and breaks will be billed at the agreed upon hourly rate. Expect several hours of setup time if you are a full band. The engineer will break for 10 minutes every 2 hours to alleviate ear fatigue. All this time is on the clock. Rates: Our studio rate varies depending on the project, and includes an engineer. There is a minimum booking time of 2 hours. . CD-Rs: Clients are expected to provide personal CD-Rs, if available Batkave Studios will provide the client CD-Rs at $2.00 each. Please note that these will not be given out until full payment of the session is given. Music Storage and Back-up: Once session is completed Batkave Studios is no longer responsible for the storage of clients music and session files. Clients are expected to provide a hard drive or DVD-R to store and back-up their music. If available Batkave Studios will provide clients with DVD-Rs at $4.00 each. Facility Rules Outdoor Noise: Please understand that this is a commercial location and that there are neighbors. In order to preserve their needs for a quiet community, noise should be kept to a minimum while outside of the studio. Smoking: There is NO smoking inside the studio. You may smoke outside of the studio, but please do not leave butts or matches on the ground. Trash: Please be considerate about leaving trash around the grounds and the facility. Your momma does not work here. You will be expected to clean up all and any mess that you make. Please leave all trash in the trashcans inside or in the trash container outside. Equipment: You are liable for any and all damage caused by clumsiness, horseplay, or intoxication to both your own equipment and ours (and to anything in the studio). You will be solely liable for all equipment broken under these circumstances. Batkave Studios is NOT responsible for your equipment, lost, damaged or stolen personal property. Guests and Visitors: Keep guests to a minimum. Please inform your guests to not be a distraction to the session. If your guests are disruptive to the session, they will be asked to leave. You are responsible for any and all damage caused by clumsiness, horseplay, or intoxication caused by your guests. Signature by artist or artist's representative below acknowledges these rates and rules are in effect, and exempt Batkave Studios from any liability to either persons or equipment.
